v1 - 03-28-2007 New Update - Update License Validation

Post by echophp »

Dear members,

We just released a new update for v1. This update will remove license key validation from user area (home.php, signup.php, terms.php, etc) and admin area pages (but except the one). A new licensing server has been added to avoid server issues. Now, we have 2 licensing servers ready to serve you. We encourage all members to update phpBB MF as soon as possible to avoid server issues.

In summary, we eliminated the license key validation which might affect your users. However, it still check to make sure whether you have a valid license or not. This is how Sebflipper script works and we are modeling our script after his. We believe that this will eliminate the problem.

Instructions on how to download the latest update:

In Client Area, please download 03-28-2007 Update License Validation.zip, extract the zipped file, follow update instructions to update your phpBB MF.

To new members, please download phpBB MultiForums v1 03282007.zip for full functions updated.

If you have any problems, please contact us at our helpdesk http://help.echophp.com

Thank you for choosing our product.

Just a question out of curiousity. You say it will still check one spot for a license. Now, if your server is down, or for some reason it says the license is invalid, how will this effect the site itself?

Thank you for the question, MF will check 1 spot for a license at your admin login page, so when echophp.com is down, it will not affect your members. Your members can still access to your homepage, signup page, their forums, etc (you will not lose your new users).

On top of that, we added a new server as a backup in case our main server goes down. This recursive scheme allows maximum up time. The chances of 2 servers going down simultateously is very minimal.
